9. Zero-Tolerance Policy — Drugs & Alcohol
Hyzr Transportations and Services Private Limited maintain an absolute Zero-Tolerance Policy on the use, possession, or influence of alcohol, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or any other intoxicants by any driver operating on our platform. This policy applies at all times during duty hours.
Our commitment includes:
All drivers are required to sign a self-declaration confirming they do not operate vehicles under the influence of any prohibited substance, as a mandatory pre-condition for onboarding.
Drivers undergo mandatory training on this policy during the Induction Training Programme conducted in coordination with the Kerala Motor Vehicles Department.
The Company may conduct random or periodic drug and alcohol tests on drivers at any time using authorised testing agencies.
Any passenger may immediately report a suspected violation via the in-app SOS button, in-app call feature, or the Company's 24/7 helpline.
Upon receipt of any such report, the 24/7 control room shall immediately suspend the driver, alert emergency services if required, and initiate a formal investigation within 24 hours.
Any driver found to have violated this policy shall be immediately and permanently removed from the platform and reported to the Kerala Motor Vehicles Department and law enforcement authorities under Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the NDPS Act, 1985.
This Zero-Tolerance Policy is published prominently on the Hyzr website and on both the Driver App and Passenger App. The safety of every passenger is non-negotiable.
